DRAWN TO ANYA—Introducing our V162 cover star Anya Taylor-Joy!

For Anya Taylor-Joy, the written word has always held a certain possibility. From the characters she first encounters on the page to the stories she hopes to one day shape from behind the camera, her creative life is entering a new chapter, one increasingly led by curiosity rather than perfection and an openness to wherever the work might lead.

For V162, photographer Nick Knight and stylist Anna Trevelyan extend that idea beyond the page, dressing the actor in original creations crafted entirely from paper by seven different designers. In conversation with dear friend Miley Cyrus, Taylor-Joy reflects on a life and career still unfolding, from stepping deeper into the world of ‘Dune’ to the very different territory of ‘Lucky’ and ‘Sacrifice.’ As the scale of her work continues to expand, so does her appetite for what she has yet to explore, finding freedom in leaving some of what lies ahead unwritten.
